Case Study: Dizy.ai, an AI Music Charts Platform

Dizy.ai is an AI music charts platform with a weekly Top 40, free voting and free artist submissions. It is a product built and run by Adaptive Media's founder team. Here is what we set out to build and how it works.

Adaptive Media, Burleigh Heads QLD. Remote delivery across Australia.

Dizy.ai is an AI music charts platform. Every week it publishes a Top 40 AI Songs chart that anyone can listen to, vote on and submit music to, all for free. It is a product built and run by Adaptive Media's founder team, so this case study is about our own product: what it does, why it works the way it does and how it is put together.

The challenge

AI music is made and shared in many different tools. We wanted to give it a chart of its own: a weekly ranking that is open to anyone, simple to understand and fair to new artists. The challenge was not the music player. It was the rules. A chart only works if people trust how it ranks songs, so the design had to answer three questions clearly: who can vote, how often, and what counts.

  • Anyone should be able to listen, vote and submit music for free.
  • Voting needs limits so one account cannot dominate the chart.
  • Artists should say whether a track is AI-assisted or AI-generated, and whether the lyrics are AI-written or human-written.
  • New tracks need a fair chance to appear, not only established ones.

Our approach: make the rules the product

The rules are the heart of Dizy, and they are published on its help page. Each account gets 5 free votes per week, refilled every Monday at 00:00 UTC, and can upvote a track once. Upvotes drive the ranking and hearts do not. A track's chart points are its votes plus a starter score for new tracks. Clear rules mean listeners, artists and the product itself all work from the same definition of what counts.

What we built

Dizy is a web app made for listening first. The home page is the weekly AI music chart, with a Top 100 and genre charts one click away, and a shared bottom player so music keeps playing as you browse. Each track has its own page, where listeners can leave comments with 1 to 5 star ratings. Artists get their own pages and there is an AI Artists directory for finding new music by the people and projects behind it.

Submissions are free with an account. An artist adds the artist name, title, genre and artwork, then one source: an MP3 up to 15MB, a YouTube link or a Suno link. They also confirm they have the rights to the music and declare how it was made. Tracks are published straight away, and the help pages are clear that a submission does not guarantee a place in the Top 40. Alongside the charts, The Dizy Blog covers AI music news, and a support form handles questions.

Weekly Top 40 and Top 100

A weekly AI music chart ranked by chart points, with a Top 100 and genre charts for browsing beyond the top.

Free voting with limits

Five free votes per account each week, one upvote per track, so the chart reflects what listeners actually pick.

Artist submissions

Free submissions by MP3, YouTube link or Suno link, with AI-assisted or AI-generated and lyric disclosures.

Comments and ratings

Listeners can leave comments with 1 to 5 star ratings on each track page, and play music from a shared bottom player.

Artist pages and directory

Artist pages and an AI Artists directory make it easy to move from a song to the person or project behind it.

News and blog section

The Dizy Blog covers AI music, the charts and industry news, alongside a support form for questions.

The stack

Dizy is built as a web app in Lovable. Behind it sits a database-driven architecture that handles track metadata, moderation states and automated engagement scoring. Those pieces support the track and artist pages, the submission flow and the chart rankings. It is the same kind of custom software and AI web app work we do for clients.

The outcome

  • Dizy is live at dizy.ai with a public weekly Top 40, a Top 100 and genre charts.
  • Listening, voting and submitting are free, with clear weekly vote limits.
  • Artists can submit by MP3, YouTube or Suno link and declare how a track was made.
  • The news section and artist directory give the charts context beyond the rankings.

We are not publishing traffic or usage numbers here. What we can say is that the platform is live, the chart rules are public, and listening, voting and submitting are open to everyone.

What this means for your project

Dizy is a good example of how we like to work: define how the product should behave, build it as a web app, then keep improving it. If you are planning an AI product, a community platform or a custom web app, see our AI consulting work, our Gold Coast app development team, or our fractional CTO service for technical leadership. If your idea is music-related, take a look at our music app development page. Adaptive Media has been building software since 2016 from Burleigh Heads, Queensland, and we deliver remotely. You can contact us to talk it through, or visit Dizy.ai to see the product.
